Circular.eco builds the software your collection program runs on. The organization that scheduled your event runs the event itself — so a few things go to them, and the rest come to us.
Circular.eco doesn't operate events and can't answer program questions. Your event lead or program manager sets these rules — they're usually on site with you.
Most of these clear in under a minute. Start here before you call anyone.
Written for a phone, on site, with a line of cars waiting. Work top to bottom.
Nine times out of ten they are registered and the search just didn't match. Before you treat them as a walk-in:
Normal at transfer stations, fairgrounds, and rural drop sites. The app is built for exactly this — keep working.
The status bar shows disconnected when you're offline. That's informational — it isn't an error and nothing is being lost.
Your queue drains on its own once signal returns: when you open a screen, when you bring the app back to the foreground, and on a timer in the background. If a sync attempt fails, the entry stays queued with its attempt count and last error, and gets retried. It is not dropped.
If you tapped check-in and the screen updated, it's recorded — on the device if you're offline, and synced when signal returns. The progress on the event card reflects it.
It's safe to check someone in twice. The roster is keyed per person per event, so a second check-in won't create a duplicate registrant. If you're unsure, check again rather than leaving it.
Several staff can work the same event on their own phones at the same time. Check-ins from all of them reconcile into the same roster.
If this is stopping you from working the gate right now, tell your event lead first — they decide how the event proceeds and may have a paper fallback.
Then email [email protected] with the event name, your device and OS version, and what you saw. General requests are answered within one business day.
If the platform itself looks down — nobody can sign in, nothing syncs — check the system status page and use the outage contact below.
Scan the code for your phone, or tap the button. Do this on wifi before your event, not in the venue parking lot.
It's listed as Circular Events from Circular ECO Inc. — that's the name you'll see when you search the store and on your home screen.
Five minutes on wifi the day before prevents most of what goes wrong on site.
For the person managing your organization's Circular.eco account.
Staff accounts are created, assigned to events, and deactivated by your organization's administrator on the Circular.eco web dashboard. The app is sign-in only — it has no account creation or sign-up path.
Step-by-step instructions live in the Circular.eco Help Center.
When someone leaves, deactivate their account the same day. Ask them to open the app on a connection first so anything still queued on their device syncs before access is removed.
A fair question, and one worth being able to answer for your own residents.
The event roster is cached on the device so the app keeps working with no signal — that caching is the whole reason the app exists rather than a mobile web page. The cache is tied to the signed-in account, and signing out clears it.
So the end-of-season instruction for staff using personal phones is simply: sign out once the event season is over, or delete the app. Both remove the cached roster from the device.
For specifics on retention and handling, see the Privacy Policy or email [email protected].
Circular.eco staff accounts belong to the organization that created them, and are managed by that organization's administrator.
If you are a staff member or volunteer and want your account removed, ask your organization's administrator to deactivate and delete it. If your organization is unreachable or has closed its account, email [email protected] with your name and the organization you worked for, and we will process the deletion request directly. We respond within one business day.
If you are an administrator, you can delete an individual staff user from the Circular.eco web dashboard at any time. To delete your organization's entire account and all associated data, email [email protected] from the administrator address on the account.
Deleting a user removes their profile and credentials. Check-ins and vehicle counts they recorded remain part of the organization's event reporting, which the organization owns and may be required to retain. See the Privacy Policy for retention detail.
The Circular.eco Events Mobile App requires iOS 15 or later, or Android. Phone and tablet are both supported — it's one universal app that adapts to the screen, not a separate tablet version.
Staff typically use their own phones. There's nothing to provision and no tablets to buy.
Worth knowing before an event rather than during one:
App problems, account questions, platform how-to, billing, and anything else. Include your organization, the event name if there is one, and your device and OS version.
Answered within one business dayIf the platform is unreachable — nobody can sign in, nothing syncs — check the system status page first for a known incident.
To report an outage that isn't already posted, contact your account representative directly.
Contact the organization running it. Circular.eco provides the software; your event lead or program manager sets what's accepted, the hours, the fees, and the staffing.
